Job Purpose
The Delivery Excellence Specialist is a key contributor to P&O transformation initiatives and specialized processes that sit within the Delivery Excellence Team, with increasing exposure to more complex delivery, cross-functional collaboration, and process optimization for growth and advancement. Act as a point of contact for select processes, building trust and credibility with stakeholders through the delivery of select employee lifecycle processes to foster simple, connected employee experiences.

About the Role

Major Accountabilities

Subject Matter Expert and Delivery Lead: Provide expertise in delivering select P&O People processes:

  • Time & Attendance/work schedule rules in collaboration with Local People Partner team.
  • NFCM Audit reporting.
  • Ad hoc, complex reporting and data processing needs (e.g., Puerto Rico Christmas Bonus).
  • Extended support to the Canada People Partner team on select processes.
  • Support Delivery Excellence Partners for implementation of promotions, sales progressions, and transformation projects (e.g., M&A, reorganizations) where needed.

Coordination & Collaboration:

  • Become a knowledge expert of each process.
  • Develop a implementation plan to ensure timely delivery, quality and accuracy.
  • As needed, provide guidance on process dependencies, requirements (templates, SLAs, etc.), and compliance to other functional partners to ensure timely and accurate execution of transformation plans.
  • Collaborate with COEs, People Partners, and other key functions for coordinated execution.
  • Share execution updates regularly to keep stakeholders informed of progress and risks throughout the project.
  • Spot risks early, share their effects, and collaborate with Delivery Excellence Lead and team to form a backup plan to maintain progress. Track escalations and address issues as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients.

Continuous Improvement: Simplify processes and standardize work (e.g., SOPs, toolkits).

  • Seek and share insights and best practices with global P&O teams who implement similar processes to promote consistency and to enhance delivery locally.
  • Leverage data, analytics, and external research to identify trends and generate ideas.
  • Participate in post-project P&O reviews to collect lessons learned and propose enhancements aimed at improving the quality of project delivery and overall experience.

Technology advocate: Explore and suggest use of tools like dashboards and automation to improve efficiency.

Develop:

  • Engage in projects within P&O and the PP Function to build collaboration, learn, and contribute to solutions.
  • Support Delivery Excellence Partners with complex tasks.
  • Lead smaller-scale initiatives or pilot programs to build project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Participate in cross-functional working groups to gain broader business context.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in HR, Business Administration or equivalent.
  • At minimum of 4+years HR experience or exposure to HR Generalist activities. HRIS and HCM systems expertise; Workday experience
  • Agility mindset – embraces challenges, experimentation, and iterative change to flex to changing needs and priorities. Process-oriented mindset – focusing on and optimizing the steps involved in achieving a goal (i.e., understanding, documenting, and continuously improving the procedures and workflows that lead to desired results).   
  • Strong track record of delivering quality results on schedule, excels under pressure, and adapts quickly to shifting priorities. Advanced skills in managing large datasets with accuracy, and anayzing data to identify trends, extract insights, and present information for better decision-making. Problem-solving and diagnostic skills.
  • Technology and AI advocation – actively using AI in daily work; knowledge to research new tech-enabled options based on user needs. Advanced Excel Skills such as pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and filters. 
  • Fluency in English both oral and written communication skills. Strong organization, prioritization, and communication skills. Ability to adapt to diverse cultures, teams, complexities, and business scenarios. Experience participating in projects and coordination.

Preferred

  • Experience in M&A, restructurings, and transformations with demonstrated experience in implementation. Experience working with global teams or organizations. 
  • Skilled in project management. Expertise in standardizing processes and improving workflows 
  • Knowledge of simplification methods like Lean, Six Sigma, Agile, and Scrum.  Prior experience with AI; Familiarity with dashboard tools like Power BI and Tableau. Proficient in Service Now.

The salary for this position is expected to range between $81,200 to $150,800 per year.

The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.

Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
